The work covers a complete interior fit-out for the new premises of the SBI Aldur Branch operating under the Regional Business Office-4, Chikamagaluru. State Bank of India, Regional Business Office-4, Chikamagaluru, invites E-Tenders from the Bank's empaneled contractors in Group-C (Interior Works) under Category C-2, which is the band reserved for works up to Rs. 25 lakhs. The estimated value of the contract is Rs. 13,94,358 plus GST. The quoted rates must be inclusive of all materials, labour, wages, fixtures, transportation, installation, all taxes (excluding GST), wastages, octroi, machinery, temporary works such as scaffolding, cleaning, overheads, profit, statutory expenses, incidental charges and all other related expenses required to complete the work. GST is payable separately by the Bank as applicable, in addition to the quoted price.
The successful contractor must complete the work within 45 days from the date of commencement. The value of each interim certificate has been fixed at Rs. 8.00 lakhs, which means running account bills can be raised only when the difference of work done between two consecutive bills crosses this floor. Liquidated damages will be deducted at 0.5% of the contract value per week of delay, subject to a maximum ceiling of 5% of the accepted contract amount.
The defect liability period is 12 months from the certified date of virtual completion, during which the contractor must rectify any defects, shrinkages or faults at no extra cost. The Bank will not pay any interest on EMD, security deposit, retention money or any other deposit mentioned in the tender.
Eligibility / Pre-qualification
Only SBI empaneled contractors who fall in Group-C (Interior Works) under Category C-2 (works up to Rs. 25 lakhs) are eligible to participate in this tender. Contractors not on the SBI empanelment list for this specific category and value band will not be allowed to bid, even if they download the tender from the portal.
The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders in whole or in part without assigning any reason. No interest will be paid by the Bank on EMD or any other deposits collected against this tender. The tender does not bind SBI to accept the lowest tender and the Bank may divide the work among more than one contractor if it considers this appropriate.
EMD / Earnest Money
The Earnest Money Deposit is Rs. 13,945/- (Rupees Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred Forty Five only). Bidders must furnish the EMD in one of the following two forms:
A Demand Draft issued by any Nationalised or Scheduled Bank, drawn in favour of "State Bank of India", OR
A valid MSME certificate issued specifically for the purpose of the proposed works, accompanied by a Bid Security Declaration in the format enclosed with the tender, duly stamped and signed.
