What is EPFO?
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) administers the provident fund, pension and insurance schemes for salaried employees. Your Universal Account Number (UAN) links all your PF accounts.

- Salaried employees of establishments covered under the EPF Act
- Mandatory for employees earning up to the wage ceiling; voluntary above it

- Aadhaar linked to UAN
- Bank account details with IFSC
- PAN for tax purposes
Step-by-Step Process

Activate UAN
Activate your UAN on the EPFO member portal using your member ID.

Complete KYC
Link Aadhaar, PAN and bank details, and get them employer-approved.

Check balance
View your PF passbook online or via the UMANG app / missed-call service.

File claims
Submit online claims for withdrawal, advance or transfer.
