What Has Been Cancelled and Why
On the recommendation of the State Government dated 6 May 2026, RPSC has fully cancelled the recruitment process previously conducted in 2021 for the Sub Inspector Police and Platoon Commander posts. The Commission has decided to re-conduct the examination under the same advertisement dated 3 February 2021 and corrigendum dated 7 June 2021. Eligibility of every re-appearing candidate will be assessed on the status that prevailed at the time of the 2021 application (age, reservation, educational qualification, etc.) - no change to those baseline parameters is permitted.
Who Can Appear in the Re-Exam
Only the 3,83,097 candidates who appeared in both question papers of the earlier 2021 written examination are eligible to sit in the re-exam.
Candidates who did not appear in both papers cannot apply afresh; the re-exam is not a fresh recruitment cycle.
No new candidates can register - the eligibility window from 2021 is closed for new entrants.
Online Update Window (16 May to 30 May 2026)
The 3,83,097 eligible candidates can update only the following six fields in their existing application:
Mobile Number
Email Address
Correspondence Address
Live Photograph
Thumb Impression
Signature
No other field can be modified - in particular, age, reservation, educational qualification and other primary application entries remain locked to their 2021 status.
KYC Pre-Condition
Before making any update, a candidate must complete KYC in their OTR (One Time Registration) if it is not already done. Without KYC, the system will not load the application for editing.
How to Update the Application
If OTR KYC is already complete
Log in to the SSO Portal at https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
Go to My Recruitment -> Edit Application / Withdraw Application section.
Locate the SI 2021 row and click the Edit button next to it.
Update the six permitted fields and submit.
If OTR KYC is incomplete
Log in to the same SSO ID that was used to apply for SI 2021.
Open the Recruitment Portal application.
Complete the KYC process to finish your OTR.
Then return to My Recruitment -> Edit Application / Withdraw Application, find the SI 2021 row and click Edit to update the six permitted fields.
If the OTR has been migrated to a different SSO ID
Log in to the latest SSO ID (the one currently holding your OTR).
If the SI 2021 application is not visible under that SSO, use the Fetch Application Form option inside your OTR to migrate the SI 2021 application from the old SSO (printed on the original application) to the latest SSO.
Once visible, follow the standard Edit flow.
Auto-fetched fields
Your live photograph, signature and thumb impression saved in OTR will be auto-fetched into the SI 2021 application. The remaining three fields (mobile number, email, correspondence address) must be updated manually using the steps above.
Mandatory Self-Declaration
Even if a candidate does not actually need to update any of the six fields, they must still open the application in edit mode and submit the following self-declaration:
"I have updated the mobile number, email and correspondence address in my application form, or no update is required. I also consent to the use of the live photo, signature and thumb impression already saved in my OTR."
After this declaration, click Final Submit and complete the OTP verification. Without this submission, the application will not be accepted and the candidate will not receive an admit card for the re-exam. The full responsibility for this rests with the candidate.
Important Instructions
The September 2026 re-exam will be governed by the terms of the original 3 February 2021 advertisement and the 7 June 2021 corrigendum - no parameter from those will be modified.
A candidate's age, reservation, educational qualification and other primary entries remain frozen at their 2021 status; the update window does not unlock these.
Candidates who do not complete the self-declaration / Final Submit step within 16-30 May 2026 will not receive an admit card.
Any modification beyond the six permitted fields is not allowed; the system will block such attempts.
Candidates should monitor https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and the Recruitment Portal regularly for the firm re-exam date, admit-card window and any further compliance instructions.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Treating the update window as a fresh registration window - it is not; only 3,83,097 candidates who attempted both 2021 papers are eligible.
Trying to update age, reservation, qualification or other locked fields - those are frozen at the 2021 status.
Skipping the KYC step in OTR - without it, the edit screen does not load.
Forgetting to click Final Submit after the self-declaration - the application is rejected and no admit card is issued.
Logging in from a different SSO ID than the one that holds the OTR - either migrate the application via Fetch Application Form or log in to the correct SSO.
