Why a Re-Totalling Window
The Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services (Direct Recruitment through Combined Competitive Examinations) Rules, 1999, Rule 18(1), provides for re-totalling of marks of an answer book. The rule does not permit re-evaluation of an answer book. The May 2026 window operationalises this Rule 18(1) provision for candidates whose Main Examination 2024 result was declared on 8 October 2025.
Who Can Apply for Re-Totalling
Candidates declared unsuccessful for the interview stage of Main 2024 under the following horizontal categories:
Departmental Employee
Ex-Servicemen
Outstanding Sportsperson
Divyang (Persons with Disabilities)
Candidates declared successful for the interview stage of Main 2024 (across all categories) who wish to verify their totalled marks.
How to Apply Online for Re-Totalling
Open the RPSC website at https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
Click on EXAM DASHBOARD in the main navigation.
Locate the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination (Main) 2024 entry.
In the Instructions / Link column, click the Re-Totalling Link provided for this examination.
Fill the online re-totalling application.
Select the question paper(s) for which re-totalling is requested - each paper costs Rs 25, so total fee = Rs 25 × number of papers chosen.
Pay the fee online (only online payment is accepted).
Submit the form and save the acknowledgement / receipt.
Important Instructions
Offline applications are not accepted. The re-totalling request must be submitted only through the RPSC website's online flow.
Offline fee payments are not accepted. The Rs 25 per question paper fee must be paid online through the integrated payment gateway.
The window opens on 11 May 2026 and closes at 12 AM (midnight) on 20 May 2026 - late applications will not be entertained.
Re-evaluation is not permitted under Rule 18(1) of the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services (Direct Recruitment through Combined Competitive Examinations) Rules, 1999. Only the totalling of marks already given by the examiner will be checked - the underlying valuation will not be revisited.
Choose only those papers where you suspect a totalling discrepancy - applying for every paper to "be safe" only multiplies the Rs 25 fee without changing the outcome if no totalling error exists.
What Re-Totalling Means Versus Re-Evaluation
Re-Totalling (allowed under Rule 18(1)) means re-adding the marks already awarded by the examiner across all answers in a paper to confirm the final total is correct. It does not change the marks awarded for any answer.
Re-Evaluation (not allowed) would mean a second examiner reading the answer book and re-marking the answers. Rule 18(1) does not permit this.
Candidates should set their expectations accordingly - re-totalling can only fix arithmetic errors in totals, not change subject-matter scoring.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Applying offline at the RPSC office - the application will not be accepted; only the online flow is valid.
Paying the Rs 25 fee through e-Mitra or other offline channels - offline fee receipts will not be linked to the online application.
Applying after 12 AM on 20 May 2026 - the system closes the link automatically.
Expecting re-totalling to change subject-matter marking - it only verifies the arithmetic totalling, not the valuation.
Forgetting to save the online acknowledgement - keep a printout for reference until the re-totalling result is declared.
